Ringing in 2013!!!

I cant not think of a better way to start a new year than hangin with some of our very favorite people :D

It was definitely a night of fun!!

Started at our place with some very delicious food, drinks, and Mario Kart and then went downtown on Myrtle for the ball drop.. pretty fun night, and excellent company :D

Here are the pictures:

New Years Eve 2013

I am in awe that this month is almost over?!

I think sometimes I get overwhelmed by the start of a new year, there is so much I hope for and  so much I would like to accomplish in this year... but gotta take it one day at a time.

Committed to making today count!

Christmas 2012

Erik and I decided to celebrate Christmas with just the two of us the weekend before Christmas... It was  perfect and not rush and probably a new tradition :D

"Christmas Eve" was spent at Houstons in Pasadena... You gotta go!! We LOVED it!

"Christmas Morning" Every year we name our tree.. don't judge us, by now you know we are straight cheesy like that ;) This year we embraced our special tree's uniqueness and affectionately named him Leaning Tower of Treeza :D

Santa knows Erik is not into the sweet stuff

And always makes me laugh ;)

We went for a bike ride with my new, sweet bike :D It was AWESOME!!! and then had the most delicious Christmas dinner...

Chipotle is always good, ALWAYS!!

Then we celebrated REAL Christmas with our families!! TWO Christmases, I know we're GENIUS!! Its just too much fun and celebration to cram into ONE day!!! The parents have all the pictures, that I still need to get.. but it was such a good day of remembrance and thankfulness. To spend time with our family will always be the biggest blessing!!

Breaking Up Is Hard To DO.....

Welp!! It happened! After three blissful weeks together me and my couch finally called it quits ;) I have hopped back on the treadmill, bike, and decided to eat something other than "stocking candy" for breakfast, hahaha I wish I was joking :-/

I LOVE the holidays, all the extra fun usually throws my routine off but I have learned to completely embrace the extra time with family/ friends, the t.v and movie watching, the baking, the eating, the shopping, all of it!! And then once the new year begins I am ready to get back to business :D

I got some really fun pictures from Christmas and New Year's Eve which I will share in my next post!!

I am so happy to be starting 2013!! I have already started to plan and dream and pray for what I would like to strive for this year and where I want my focus to be.... more on this to come.

I welcome the sense of renewal the new year brings!!!

Heres to a great year :D

Much Love

Christmas Extravaganza

Ok, seriously!! I have a new favorite hobby.. creating my own holidays!! Eventually I think this hobby will take out all others, it is extremely fun and I can convince Erik to do things he wouldn't normally do on a regular day but feels like he should because it a HOLIDAY!!! LOL

You should try it! Its the best.. just pick a weekend, create the holiday of your choice and then you need to do really fun activities with really yummy food and be hopped up on sugar and endorphins all weekend, Holiday success!!!

Started the weekend off REAL fancy!! Martinellis in our wedding flutes ;D Cheers!! to Christmas Extravaganza 2012!!

Then went to a super yummy restaurant/ bar on Myrtle: London Gastropub
Garlic fries are the BEST

The most wonderful mac n cheese and some greens for good measure ;)

Saturday morning began with a very important mission: Save my beloved snowlady!!! My snowlady is my all time fav Christmas decoration, I have loved her for many years! A couple years ago, I think I mistakenly threw away her cord in one of my freakish cleaning sprees :/ Last year I tried to brave Christmas without having snowlady lit up. And well, it was just too much to bear.... We HAD to go to Radio Shack to make things right!!! Christmas could not go on like this ;) Our hero at Radio Shack saved the day!! Erik seemed a little hesitant because the cord cost more than the snow lady.. but he knew what was best for everyone and we saved my snowlady :D

Funniest purchase of the day :D The woman at BevMo... said, you know we sell big bottles of this stuff, hahahha

Then we got this beautiful guy!!!

Time to decorate.. its around this point that I wonder, Why are we doing this?! But we cranked up the Christmas tunes and got busy!!!

Erik continues to win Husband of the Year.. I am so blessed!!

Annnnddd.. Taaa Daaaa!!!!

Stockings :D

This is the first year we have an angel. She is extra special and came all the way from Africa. Women in Africa make these angels as a safe, efficient way to provide for themselves and their families.

Some holiday cheer for my desk :D Giving away my biggest decorating secret.. Add a BOW on it, haha. It works for all occasions and circumstances!! LOVE me some BOWS!!

Sunday started out with an activity that was both painful and wonderful all at the same time :) 7 miles, baby!! Last week I started training for the Pasadena Rock n Roll Half marathon!! Until this point I have done all my running on the treadmill, so it felt INCREDIBLY good to run outside with the fresh air and scenery!!! The miles went by much faster!!

Post run FEAST!!! OH YES!!

Miss Snowlady agrees Christmas Extravaganza 2012 was a huge success!!!

Praying you have a joyful week!!

Love
Kel
